Audiobook Casting & Production

Casting and production treatment makes or breaks the listener experience.

A narrator doesn’t just read a book — they completely embody it. They breathe life into the text for it to be experienced in an immersive, heartfelt way.

Audiobook production of the highest quality is central in my work — each title is given the same level of dedication and care that it needs.

I work with perfectionist-level precision. My main goal? To honour the reader, the author and the listener in my work. I aspire to match text with readers with whom the project will naturally resonate, whilst fully understanding the needs of the author, and stepping into the shoes of the listener.

All of this requires a keen ear, a creative instinct, empathy, and a deep knowledge of a strong talent pool.

A specialist service for UK & international publishers

My expertise lies both in high-quality, high volume output, plus also having deep, current knowledge of British voice talent and their unique dialects – from RP and Estuary in the South, to Mancunian and Geordie in the North.

For US and international publishers producing UK-set titles — whether that’s London-set crime fiction, historical drama, literary fiction rooted in the English countryside or romance sagas — I know the narrators, the accents, the pronunciations, the regional nuances, and the voices that resonate.

If your team doesn’t have that knowledge in-house, I’m the person you can reach out to.

NEW! Communications support
Want to create blog posts showcasing your latest audiobooks & how they were created? Whether you’d like a Q&A from a narrator for marketing or an in-depth BTS peek into production, I can help.

I share your goal of producing high-quality audiobooks without fuss.

Step 1 → get in touch

Drop me a message with any information about the type of support you’re looking for. No need to have everything figured out at this stage.

Step 4 → casting/production begins

Once all resources are shared with me, I’ll get to work, researching, casting, sourcing pronunciations, reworking text for audio, liaising with agents/studios as needed.

The Process

Step 2 → communication

We can either schedule a call (via Zoom or telephone) or communicate via email on the needs of your project — title, word count, deadline, marketing asset requirements, audio treatment. This will be within 48 hours (weekdays only).

Step 5 → review & complete

I present a shortlist of narrators within your timeframe, with demos for your review. I handle all agent and studio liaison from there, plus marketing asset creation if specified. I see the project through until completion.

Step 3 → confirm & agree

I'll confirm via email the scope, send a simple agreement if it’s our first time working together, and begin! Onboarding and email domain creation (optional for retainers) happens here, too.

Step 6 → project close

I'll invoice for work completed at the end of the project or month — whichever we've agreed.
